More of the Japanese whiskies are starting to make it to the US now. I like the Nikka Pure Malt.

Did you get the Oban by mistake?

Unfortunately No. I tried it again last night. Still disgusting.

Don't forget McCarthy's out of Oregon. Smile

Wish some more of the Japanese whiskies made it here. Sad

McCarthy's is a nice whisky. Shouldn't be missed.

Not sure what happened. Sad Recently purchased another bottle. Completely different profile. Peat? Didn't exist. Tastes like chewing on an alcohol soaked piece of wood. I'll let it sit for a few weeks and try it again.

Still bad so I'll see if it works as weed killer. Real shame.
Haven't tried Wasmund's since the 2 or 3 month bottle that I bought. That was beyond horrendous. Maybe with age it's improved.

This is the sort of thread that L&K was famous for. It seems sad that Facebook has largely replaced this forum.

The good news is that you can google L&K and a distillery or dram and retrieve great info.

Facebook vs L&K? Really? I haven't found crap on facebook.

FYI, you guys are lucky. Down here in the great state of PA, not only is the selection lousy because it's state owned stores ... but when they have tastings, it cost $100 to get in; for a few samples! I want back to New England.
