Dec. 2, 2009. Celebrity whisky couple BRANDALL announced that they may have already won the competition. Randall elaborates, "Its Science really... If you look at our graph of Time:Age we were able to extrapolate a guaranteed win." Brad jumped in to comment , "Its Math and some of you folks out there are going to fight our conclusion, but really, we know way more about molecules and numbers and stuff than the rest of the yokels in this competition." The duo made their announcement after all of the competition samples were submitted. "I did not want the rest of the membership to feel despair and then not compete," Randall explained, "but we backwards predict engineered the results and based on those metrics, other competitors shouldn't even show up lest they face shame and humiliation on Saturday."

BRANDALL claims that their superior intellect really made the competition a moot point. Citing Dr. Entropy as an example, Team BRANDALL pointed out that Dr. Entropy showed, through photographs, the progression of color of his whisky. "What kind of nonsense is that,?" Randall queried, "Its like he doesn't know how its going to turn out, or what will the final color be. We took the smart approach by selecting delicious color sample chips from the paint department at Home Depot. Then we picked an awesome color out for our whisky- and our final choice was Butternut Squash." Brad reflected, "Sun Gold Harvest was a close second though..." Brad then countered, " I think Dr. Entropy got his degree from the same institution that accredited Doogie Howser and that Pepper soft drink."

Whatever accusations may fly, the final decision rests in the hands of the judges on Saturday night. But let us be clear BRANDALL warned, "Let the best whisky win, but we can prove with SCIENCE that our whisky is awesomenest!

As a Judge I feel that I there is very little I can comment on, ( or would like to) Shocked
However, I think I peed Sun Gold Harvest this morning, so I think second place is wrapped up! Cool
(According to these two morons, anyways) Rolling Eyes

Butternut squash? Well, the rules DID say you could add anything that won't kill you so I guess that qualifies.

I can't wait to be "blinded by science" on Saturday - much more preferable than the type of blindness that is often associated with home distillation attempts for sure!

The photo of Randall suggests some mad post apocalyptic monk channelling lost ancient secrets...

Well done and the best of luck to you both! We'll know how this all worked out in about 38 hours or so. Psyched!

slainte! DrE
